We are  chuffed to be partnering with Cornwall Hospice Care as our Charity of the Year.

CCH is a devoted 24/7 healthcare charity that provides compassionate, specialised end-of-life care for patients, their families, and carers. The work they do is nothing short of incredible, and we are so proud to be supporting them.

As part of our work together this year, we are delighted to be the headline sponsor for this year’s Saint’s Way Trek. A one to two-day adventure exploring Cornwall while raising money for this incredible cause.

As well as this, our team will be getting stuck in with volunteering and fundraising throughout the year. From charity shop takeovers to coffee mornings and event support, we’re all in 🙌

“We’re delighted that Whyfield have chosen to support Cornwall Hospice Care! Their support will make a huge difference to people right here in Cornwall, giving families time to be together and make lasting memories. 90% of our funding comes from our local community, so we can’t do it without amazing local businesses like Whyfield. We’re looking forward to collaborating with the team and we’re excited to see what the year ahead will bring!”

Ways to donate and make an impact:

There are plenty of ways you can support this fantastic charity, and every single gesture counts.

Whether it’s a one-off donation or something more regular, your generosity helps provide vital care all year round.

We’ve set up a Just Giving Page for any donations, small or large. This will be the place for updates of any Whyfield fundraising initiatives, too!

Head to www.justgiving.com/page/whyfield-for-cornwall-hospice-care to give whatever you can.

  • You can also give in memory of a loved one, dedicate a funeral collection, or add a leaf to one of the charity’s beautiful memory trees.
  • You may consider sponsoring a nurse. This helps bring peace and comfort to the patients and their families each day of the year. The hospice care is completely free for those who need it and is made possible but the donations they get.
  • An online shopping fan? Easyfundraising is a simple way to support the cause. They’ve teamed up with over 7,000 brands, so when you shop, a percentage goes to the hospice at no extra cost to you.

There are so many opportunities to get involved and give to support Cornwall Hospice Care.

The worst possible situation was made far more bearable. I am so very grateful for all that was done for her, and our family. The hospice felt more like a family home in its warmth, emotional support, laughter and no request was ever any trouble”

Volunteering at the hospice:

Hundreds of volunteers are at the heart of Cornwall Hospice Care, and the charity simply couldn’t do what it does without them.

From friendly faces at reception, to helping on the wards, or sorting donations behind the scenes, there are so many ways to get involved. You could help in the hospice, in one of the charity shops or at a community event.

The team at Whyfield are keen to get started in the many volunteering opportunities, so watch this space to find out what we get up to! We’re already getting excited for the charity shop takeover!
